According to a new report recently released, almost 10,000 global millionaires are expected to move to Dubai in the year 2025, driven by investment opportunities, modern infrastructure, and lifestyle possibilities.

A hub for global wealth and investment

Cementing its status as a hub for global wealth, the report noted that almost 10,000 millionaires are expected to relate to the city during 2025. This signals a shift from fleeting ownership and temporary investment to long-term residency and more permanent lifestyle in Dubai.

Statistics are now showing that high-net-worth individuals spend AED 11.4 million on average per residential property transaction in Dubai. Ultra-wealthy families are now investing over AED 134 million per purchase – this includes waterfront properties in branded residences and legacy compounds.

Dubai villas and townhouses more popular

Reflecting this trend of global millionaire migration is the rising property market in the UAE. Released data shows that total sales of villas and townhouses in Dubai reached an enormous AED 147 billion so far this year.

Premium locations including Palm Jumeirah and Emirates Hills lead the way for high-end and luxury real estate transactions. Data shows that a total of 146 properties priced above AED 35 million were sold in the first six months of 2025. The total value of these sales amounted to AED 9.4 billion.

Why the wealthy are moving to Dubai

Dubai has long attracted international investment with nationals from over 200 countries now owning properties in the UAE. With its long-standing zero personal income tax policy and favourable investment conditions, wealthy individuals are continually attracted to Dubai in order to preserve their wealth.

However, the report also highlights that other factors are now contributing to the shift of global migration to Dubai. From elite global connectivity, business opportunities, lifestyle suitability, modern infrastructure, and raising families – Dubai is now attracting people on a long-term basis. Dubai has now become a place to call home.
